Barack wins, thoughts of a proud Black

Barack wins, the feelings of a black man

On Tuesday, November 4, 2008 Barack Obama won the presidential election to become the 44th president of the United States. This was a great day for my family. He suggested that I could not sleep for two days and I'm still trying to overcome Barack Obama's victory.

Everything is a little blurry and I noticed we have a November 6 black president. Even now, I was a little delirious I'm still waiting on some Fox News reporter shouted a difference voters somewhere. It is likely that Alaska.

I knew I had to write something, but it was too emotional exhaustion. Probably a combination of both. Heineken is a small celebration.

Election Day was very special to me and also waiting 3 hours to vote (six hours later, depending on age and say that the story of how I got six inches of snow without shoes to vote for Obama from now 30 years) was a beautiful day.

From the beginning I took three African-American elderly were all older than 75 years to the polls. They acted like little school girls laugh and smile. I almost said: "No make me pull this car. "

But it struck me that I was as happy as I could not appreciate what they have experienced. At forty years I reveals the true face racism. But they had lived Jim Crow and segregation. They have seen the bad side of America.

Their joy was truly one of the "We've overcome," and I knew he really liked and understood what was happening in their lives.

I suggested to my daughter in her normal life is a black man to be president and we hope one day to see a woman reach the highest position in the country. Now, when I told my daughter that she can be president, I will not speak on one side of my mouth.

All these thoughts brought tears to my eyes. It's a great thing for me, since I can only remember mourn three times in my adult life. The three courses of my great-grandmother died when my daughter was born, and when the Giants lost the Super Bowl in 2000.

Let me conclude by returning to the three older women, I was at the polls. Now everyone who has ever been in an old black people meet furniture with plastic covers, there photos of three people always see on the wall.

Jesus Christ, Martin Luther King and John F. Kennedy.

Now you can add more …………..
