There’s a story here on the news about 3 teachers who got suspended without pay for using “inappropriate” images in a Black History Month parade.
The teachers had students at an elementary school hold up pictures of RuPaul, O.J. Simpson and Dennis Rodman while marching in the parade.
The stance of the superintendent is that those are not good examples of Black people that the children can look up to. The superintendent feels that people such as Barack Obama and Nelson Mandela are better examples, along with doctors, lawyers and the like.
What do you think the ethnicity is of the suspended teachers and why do you think they chose those images? What do you think the ethnicity of the superintendent is?
Do you think the intent of the teachers and the response to the situation would be different if the ethnicity of the teachers was different? Please explain.
Those teachers knew exactly what they were doing, they thought it was funny. It’s such a shame they treated their students that way O.J. Simpson out of all ppl WTF.
They know that Black history month is a month for Martin Luther King jr., Malcolm X, Nelson Mandela, Rosa Parks, and maybe Obama. they deserve to be fired, that shyt ain’t cute or right.
