Ghana, a friendly country for first time travelers, has a history of being ruled by several nations including the unforgettable (1874 & 1877) “Gold coast colony” formation by the British Empire. The shining eyes of many singing delightful songs for the US president were evident that the country is on the right track, the country has faith, it has what it takes to bring the change and that is “Hope”. The hope that once thrilled every youth in all corners of Ghana, which bloomed the Accra Riots (1948) and raised the wave of enthusiasm that led to the independence of this African tiger. “Hope” is what has once made Ghana stand out and shine in the world and “Hope” is what will make it struggle ahead and ahead on the path of success.

Today, the whole world recognizes Ghana as a unique, independent and progressing country and one such experience was the wide recognition of Blakk Rasta’s electrifying song “Barack Obama”, the song brought both controversy and fame to the singer but on the other hand it lead to dawn a magical moment when President Obama specially met Blakk, during his visit to Ghana.

Not just the political lime light or paparazzi are now deluging upon the country but “Tourism” is also developing in leaps and bonds. Although, it will still take a while for Ghana to arise and stand among other African Tourism Tycoons like South Africa, but developments are on the stake whether it’s tour operations, modern constructions, beach holidays or Air Travel.

The flag ship carrier of Ghana, Ghana International Airline is one such positive move. The airline started its operations back in 2004 through cooperation between private investors and government of the Republic of Ghana. There are also rumors that “Obama Hotel” is going to make a mark in the “Guinness World Record book” for being the only hotel at the name of US president and rooms named “White house” , “Michelle” and so on…
