snopes.com did a great article on this. Check it out. There were also some whispers that McCain wouldn’t be eligible for the presidency because he was born in Panama at a time before the laws recognized the child born of someone in the military as citizens. The waters are much more murky for McCain than for Obama on this one, but since each one has the nomination of their party, it’s safe to say that neither is going anywhere, at least until after the election.
