Why did Barack Obama close Guantanamo Bay?

Is it true that he is a terrorist? Why else would he close the prison? All of his little friends are in there, right? Is there any way that we (as citizens) can prevent this from happening? There are dangerous terrorists and criminals in there!
I hope this doesn’t happen, those people are going to become terrorists again! What about the people that were involved in 9/11?

Please be reasonable. The potus is not a terrorist; he has no friends in the Guantanamo prison. There’s this little document called the US Constitution which says that Guantanamo is illegal for the US government to open, operate or maintain, so we definitely want this prison closed asap.

There are dangerous criminals in there, so we have to find new ways to bring them to justice and prevent them from harming us. There’s more than one way to skin a cat, so there must be more ways than unlawful detainment using illegal, unethical methods such as torture to contain them. Important people have formed a committee to find legal ways to do this. You can send your comments and suggestions for legal ways to detain and interrogate people that can be effective and they will listen to you.

Otherwise, we give many more thousands of people who might otherwise not become terrorists reason to become terrorists against us.
