Let’s change the pieces on the political chess board a bit and see if this consideration affects your vote?

Keep Barack Obama and Biden as they stand today. But, let’s make McCain a black republican candidate, and keep Palin a white female. However, to make things interesting, add this to the equation — Palin is single, still governs Alaska, but her resume rocks like Condeleeza Rice; however, the Black McCain interviews like the current Palin; has a family that’s large like Palin’s; he has a pregnant teenage daughter like the real Palin; and he interviews with Katey Couric like the real Palin. Who would you vote for? Remember, their politics remain the same — I just changed the pieces a bit.
If this is so dumb, why are so many of you having a hard time with answering the question. The issue at hand should be that the politics still remain the same. If you agree with the issues how they look shouldn’t change things. Only one of you so far still says McCain outright — I can at least respect this person’s convictions to the issues. Why should changing the pieces matter?

So in your new hypothetical, McCain is a black male version of Sarah Palin, and Sarah Palin is single and still hot. But now she knows what she is doing.

Is McCain still old?

Doesn’t really matter, this would actually make the Republican party significantly worse. It would suggest that the main candidate for the Republicans was the problem. As it is the second candidate (the VP candidate) is the problem; make the main candidate the problem and it gets even worse.
