I have to do a report on an influential person who is not a U.S. citizen .. Suggestions?
I'm writing a report for my history class Honors World's influence on a person in history who was not a U.S. citizen. I'm reading a biography (at least 200 pages) and write an essay of four pages on the person. It can be from one actor to a chair, provided they have something interesting enough to write about 4 pages. They must be born between 1745 and 1960. I do not want someone "snapshot" (Hitler, Gandhi, etc) that everyone in my class probably will. I'm not really sure where start looking to find someone I want to read any suggestions that would be great! I'm not willing to Barack Obama Sr., but I'm not sure I never became a citizen in the United States. I can not find books about it, apart from Dreams from My Father by Barack Obama Jr., so if anyone knows of another biography, this would great! I also welcome any other suggestions for people looking. Thanks!
What would you say to a scientist, for example, Alexander Fleming – Penicillin, Crick DNA (with Watson U.S. citizen), Darwin – evolution, Tim Berners Lee invented the WWW. Karl Marx or Lenin also traditional history teachers get!
