Anybody else nerved by all the imagery of Obama in pop culture?
Obama’s face on T-shirts, Posters, Children’s books, Toilet paper, condoms, hats, etc.
I have zero disrespect for Barack as a person, I am proud to see an black man as President, but I do disagree with 99.9% of his policies.
With all of this imagery and his cultlike following, it is starting to eerily remind me of people like Mao, Saddam, etc.
Am I alone in this feeling?
Two of the above examples of Obama merchandise are exaggerations to my knowledge, I’ll let you figure them out for your self..
Hell, I am wouldn’t be shocked if Old CHicago Pizza offered an Obama themed Pizza someday soon.
I just want a President who is President not a cult leader and pop culture icon.
Look at how Putin was fawned over when he was photographed shirtless on a beach.
The way the press is hyping up both Michelle and Barack and their beauty, it reminds me of the Peron’s in Argentina and the movie Evita….
You mean unnerved and yes.
Also, considering the pop culture’s readiness to accept Obama into it’s molded crust, it almost seems as if pop culture has gotten Exactly what it wanted.
A leader whose face can be plastered onto every street corner and every gullible fool in America.
Maybe Obama is going to turn into a sort of “ultimate brand label” or something.
Kinda like Foreman with his grills*.
*Can’t remember his name atm, i have selective memory when it comes to pop culture advertisements.
