Why does everyone in the United States continues to believe that Islam evil and violent, when President Obama is supported?

It is the word of the president Barack Obama promotes and calls Islam a religion of peace. Few things that happen in the name of Islam such as suicide bombings, terrorism, etc are false and that Muslims we regard as incorrect. So why are not Muslims, not just in America but also the rest of the world consider Islam as the only religion false. They should know that most words in the Bible, Geeta, etc have in common with the Koran. people in Western (mostly Christians) consider Islam crazy, because it limits the mixing with the opposite sex. Well, why do not they realize that their own religion says the same. They know that if I had not read the Bible. Why is Islam the only religion that is so misunderstood. I hope most people understand Atleast after reading this.

I am a citizen American and I do not think all Muslims are evil or violent. I respect all religions and races. Everyone has as much right to religion of their choice, I have with the Christianity. I do not think anyone can blame a whole group because of the actions of a small percentage of them. For example, I am a Christian woman. If I burn a Masjid (mosque) If the Christian Women's Group because of my ignorance and intolerance? No, I can honestly say that as an American, I am proud of our diverse country. I am proud live in a country where all can live together with our differences without the threat of religious persecution.
