Do you think the NY Times is pathetic for mentioning Cindy McCain’s brief addiction to painkillers?

Following back surgery in 1989, Mrs. McCain had a brief addiction to painkillers. Is that really worth reporting over and over again considering the Democratic nominee for President Barack Hussein Obama admitted smoking crack regularly in his book that he named after one of Rev Wright’s sermons?
