State's radio-rock-reggae band State Radio Tickets Hit the Road

Socially and politically vocal rock-reggae State radio recently published plans to tour around the country in early 2009. First State Radio singer Chad Stokes Urmston will embark on a pair of solo 6-7 December at the Theatre Brattle, near the birthplace of the Boston group before the whole group takes the stage in Washington DC 9:30 Club December 26 for a "welcome to the area" Party for the President-elect Barack Obama. The tour will then approach the Rock in Tucson, Arizona, January 14 before concluding on February 19 at Lupo's in Providence RI other stops on the next tour will be the State Radio House of Blues in West Hollywood, California (January 15), The Underground Reno, Nevada (Jan. 21), El Corazon Seattle (Jan. 26) Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colorado (January 30-31), Antone's in Austin (06 February), The Orange Peel in Asheville, NC North (11 February), Norva in Norfolk, Virginia Barrel (15 February) and brine Night Club in Killington, Vermont (February 19). State radio began to deliver its powerful blend of reggae rhythms, socially conscious lyrics rock song format after emerging from the ashes of the Vermont jam band Dispatch in 2002. The trio formed in Boston, where the author and principal songwriter Chad Urmston Office dissolved in the same year (when the band was at the height their success). Urmston switching Dispatch abandoned the signing of the instrument and focus on guitar and vocals and enlisted second guitarist Pete Halby, bassist Chuck Fay and drummer Mike Greenfield to complete the programming on state radio. The band released the EP experiment increasing Flag Shriners Boston with Fenway Recordings label in late 2002 and then a temporary interruption to allow Urmston recovering well from surgery for throat that made him unable to sing for a short period.

In 2004, State Radio has reappeared on the scene as a trio robbed new drummer Brian Sayers and sophomore EP titled Kate Simmer monitoring. With two EPs under her belt, state radio has finally released his first album, we cons Crown in February 2006 after nearly four years as a band! Drummer Mike Najarian Sayers replaced before the state radio to take to the road In support of his debut long term, the trio then released their second album, Year of the Crow in 2007. The record has been less twisted jams his first album, and was in a punk and more politically conscious direction. The group is currently working on monitoring the Year of the Crow and should release a new album next year.
