Can celebrities just screw off and stay the hell away from the DNC?
I’m so pissed that they are there.I know that they are people too and have every right to be there,but people like George Clooney act like they have political experience and are smarter than the politicians themselves
I don’t mind celebrities who quietly support candidates like America Ferrera did,but the celebrities who supported Obama acted like they are part of a cult and gave him a bad name.
Example:The “Yes We Can” video which included Will.I.Am,Scarlett Johansson,Jessica Alba,and all the other a$$hole$. Talk about embarassing.
They acted like they were being saved by Jesus Christ.I felt like they were going to scream “Praise the Lord.Hallelujah!” any second. They were so dramatic and so into the moment and feeling the music by closing their eyes.It was pathetic
I bet they can’t name one policy of Barack Obama.They probably support him just because he’s the cool guy who gives great speeches
They embarass other Obama supporters like myself.Anyone else feel this way?
what’s the difference between them wanting to come here and any other person wanting to come here? at the end of the day, they are voters too and want to support their candidate just as much as anybody else, whether they are famous for something or not. and actually, a lot of them DO know a thing or two about the candidates and the election
(except for maybe heidi montage, but she’s pretty much the only “celebrity” endorsing mccain so who really cares).
and besides, at least they take the time to vote at all, unlike so many other losers (particularly young people) around the country who won’t be voting in this very important election that will only determine their futures and their children’s futures because they won’t get off their lazy asses or “don’t have time,” or think that their “vote won’t count” or think it’s “stupid.”
why do you think that rock the vote is spending so much money to try and get young people to vote? and why do you think so many celebrities are trying desperately to encourage young kids to get out there and contribute something to society that will impact their lives greatly?
in my opinion, if you can use your celebrity for a good and worthy purpose, then why the hell not?
