How Was Barack Obama Hired By The University of Chicago Right Out Of Law School And Only WIth A JD?

I am a prospective university lecturer in business management, so I know about this stuff.
Usually to be a university lecturer in law or in business, you need a masters degree AND 5-to-10 years of experience in the field.
Obama was hired to lecture in law at the University of Chicago RIGHT OUT OF law school. AND Obama only has a undergraduate degree in Political Science and a first degree in Law. He has no master’s degree.
How did he not have to meet the “usual” qualifications? I Heard that it was because he was the first Black President of the Harvard Law Review, so Chicago wanted him on their faculty, but I’m not sure.
A JD is a doctorate, With a doctorate, you have more credit hours than if you simply had a BA ( or BS) and a Master’s degree.
((Juris Doctor)) Or doctor of jurisprudence,whatever the university calls it. A doctorate requires approx 200 credit hours, ( includes the BA or BS)
A mster’ degree requires approx 150 ( 0r more ) credit hours, ( includesd rthe BA or BS)
