Barack Obama vs. John McCain’s National Convention Public Speaking Skills?

I’m suppose make a speech for a class of 100 about Obama and McCain’s public speaking ability at the their conventions. Im suppose to critique, analyze, and clarify what were their strengths and weaknesses as a public speaker/ Their gestures/ Eye Contacts/ Volume/ Speed their Talking at.

This is so hard for me since I’m not good at Analysis. Is there anyone who was really into both the speeches that can please help me out with some details? I will greatly appreciate it.

Hmmmmm…. I looked at both McCain and Obama’s public speaking at their conventions. Honestly, Obama is a far better speaker than McCain is. He was emotional, expressive, and more articulate than McCain was. Mc Cain spoke more like a robot and if your eyes were closed you could still tell that he paid more attention to the teleprompter. His eyes focused and hardly veered from the teleprompter for more than a few seconds. Obama on the other hand, would give you more of the impression that he wasn’t using a teleprompter because of the length of time he spent gazing into the audience and panning as he spoke. When you listen to the the two of them speak, you’d realize that one sounds like he’s talking from the heart while the other sounds like he’s just reading something someone wrote for him and because of that, you’d get the impression that someone is more sincere than the other. Obama is without a doubt a better public speaker.
