What is up with all of the bureaucratic red tape that’s preventing volunteers here in the United States and?
abroad from assisting with the oil spill clean up and containment. Why is the federal government dragging its feet on this? I mean come on already. The last news article that I read stated that volunteers would do more harm than good. That’s a cop out and a complete load of crock. If the Red Cross can train volunteers in disaster preparedness, bp can train volunteers to properly and safely remove oil off beaches.
Not only that, I also read there are numerous countries with boats and other equipment, that are standing by ready to provide assistance in containing the oil leak. Available manpower and resources and oil just continues to spill into the Gulf. It’s been what? Two months now? Almost three months? ( o _ 0 ) Totally dumbfounded.
President Obama said that this is bp’s baby. You know what? Screw bp. Seriously. bp and the Coast Guard need as much assistance as they can get! This is beyond ridiculous.
Deepwater Horizon is in international waters and is beyond the control of the U.S. The U.S. does not control the Gulf of Mexico, international laws do.
