Why is there a news blackout of the oil spill from BP and the U.S. government?

There is a power outage and BP orchestrated by the government of the United States. Journalists were threatened with arrest by the Coast Guard to try to report on oil spill in wetlands and swamps. I do not know not the details of this incident. But I can assure you that there was a silence on reports of forced spill. I have not been able to run on CNN or Fox News (see News two agencies) without seeing a report on the top of the water or how many hours has been paid or is to blame or simply the end of the trip cam BP.
