Given the changing demographics of the U.S. population over the next 30 years, economic conditions in the United States will go difficulty absolutely catastrophic. In 2020, 26% of Americans will be collecting Social Security and Medicare, and this number will increase to 38% by the year 2045. Both programs are called "pay as you go" rights, which means they are financed by existing taxes or increasing the deficit already bloated federal government.
In 2020, our federal budget is likely to triple what it is today, with over 70% of those assigned to these two programs. Also means American will face an average tax rate (federal, provincial and local combined) of 65% in 2025. In 2045, the tax rate could easily exceed 80%. Clearly, these tax rates are not sustainable for our economic health, and also probably politically untenable.
It is likely that, long before the mid-21st century U.S. economy will be near what is now considered the state of the third world, because our inflation rate will rise above 200% the government to maintain the payment of all obligations. After that, things will get worse as more countries have us afloat by purchasing our debt, because the vacuum will be taken into consideration.
So there is a solution to this catastrophe that seems inevitable? Yes, there is a large one. Cost for the federal government for these entitlement programs, probably average $ 225 per day for every American who retired in 2025. It is likely that this time the average wage in India is $ 2.25 and $ 5.50 per day in China. The solution, as I see it, is to start exporting our older Americans advanced these two countries because the cost of housing, food and medical care for our elders have not less than $ 12 per day. This even includes a wizard full-time staff for every American that we export.
This would reduce the cost of programs for our rights for more than 90% of our deficit Federal disappears almost immediately, and our tax rate could be reduced to about 12%. In fact, it would be the largest economy stronger on the ground, and the Americans in the middle of the 21st century could enjoy a decent standard of life 3-4 times greater than today.
Thus, this plan really works? Yes, of course, the U.S. high-level for various reasons, can not be simply want to spend their golden age India or China. Please do not misunderstand, I am not an indifferent person, and I want this program to accommodate everyone. After all, America was founded on the principle of equality and justice for all. If I have two choices for high-level Americans do not want to be part of our resettlement program.
One solution might be simply to give our "stay at home for the elderly Cash and equivalents per day that the government would pay the cost of living in India and China, or about $ 12 per day. People were saved or learned live frugally be very ideal candidates for this program.
The other option would be to allow these Americans to receive the supplement $ 12 to participate in what I call the "first family" in which children love and support are committed to adopting parents and look after them for their remaining years. In addition, we also have an "adopt a high level" program, through which individuals younger children could adopt and care for an elder who is not a blood relation. This can be especially popular among people who have problems with their own parents, and wants to make definitive statement of dissatisfaction with them, to have someone else in his senior year.
Our outsourcing destinations, China and India are countries Large selection of culture and cuisine from anywhere in the world with a variety of historic sites and places to visit. In fact, I think the problem might be if this plan is being adopted for many young Americans lie about their age so they can be part of the original program.
One last thought. U.S. is largest prison population per capita of countries in the world. Currently, there are more than 3 million people in federal prisons, state and local. The cost of imprisonment is more than $ 50,000 per year for each prisoner. As you know, Iceland has recently declared bankrupt, with little hope of economic survival. Population Iceland is about 350,000. My suggestion is that we spent all our prisoners in Iceland (one of the harshest climates and most inhospitable Earth) and rentals of most adult Icelandic population to feed, care, and house these prisoners, to $ 25,000 per year per inmate. This would reduce our prison costs (currently $ 200 billion years) and a half, restoring the Ideland economy because of the remoteness of Iceland and climate, provide an important deterrent to those considering committing a crime.
Through these programs, we can restore the strength financial Amercia and virtually eliminate crime. However, this vision can be achieved without the dedication and commitment of the citizens of this great nation. Therefore, we must work together all the parties age, race and sex. I do not expect personal recognition or remuneration for these ideas. After playing my small role in solving current problems the United States would be reward enough for me.
