Is it the position of the Gulf Loop Current?
Is an interesting story. It is a good lesson in how we react to horror stories of science. It is difficult to see how the oil may spit be sufficient to influence the current. The amount of oil coming out is much less than flows into the current loop, and I imagine that the amounts of dispersants and other chemicals are low compared to the Gulf. Everything is in the numbers. I'm assuming this is an eminent scientist said. You and me I do not know enough about their reputation and methods, the dynamics of the flow of the ocean, the volumes involved, and all other variables. I do not know how perhaps an opinion on this very technical at this point. It should be noted, however. Check news for more information. Close monitoring sites in science the Internet to see how the story develops. See how scientists weigh in. If oceanic anything, so the story grows and becomes very important. As a geologist, I saw a lot of crazy ideas about the geology that is imposed on the public. But some of them are being true.
