Is it necessary that human beings so that we can be alive? What motivates most of us? Why do a certain thing? What are the key elements that will help us achieve what we want? We will understand more when we learn of the basic human needs.

The theory famous of the needs of human beings is perhaps the theory provided by Abraham Maslow, Harold, 1908-1970, American psychologist and philosopher. His theory of the hierarchy needs to be known as the theory of self psychology. The theory has opened the new era of psychotherapy. The theory suggests that the objective of psychotherapy should be the integration of self.

According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, Maslow studied psychology at the University of Wisconsin and psychology Gestalt of the New School for Social Research in New York. Later he joined the faculty of Brooklyn College in 1937. In 1951 he was appointed head of the psychology department Brandeis University (Waltham, Massachusetts), where he remained until 1969. Influenced by existentialist philosophers and literary figures, Maslow was one of the main United States of humanistic psychology, which is sometimes called the "third force."

Maslow said his work "Motivation and Personality "That each person has a hierarchy of needs that must be met. The needs are physiological needs, security needs, the needs love, needs self-esteem and self-actualization needs. The five requirements are explained as follows:

1 physiological need, man needs food housing, sex, heat, water, air and fabric. These basic elements are generally known to be essential for staying alive. There will be no progress in other areas of life if needs are not yet to fill.

2 need for security: the security guard wants to be in life. He wants to be free from danger, and want to ensure that can take our lives without any uncertainty.

3 The love and the need: the man wants to be loved and want to be linked to others. We can not live alone and need to be recognized by our love. The need for love is so strong is the contour of the mold of character in children and is the main ingredient that shape human life in psychological theory.

4 must-Esteem: This level must be understood as in development. The man wants to know important. Also, want to feel that sense of importance by itself. That's why we call "myself."

5 Performing the staffing requirements: The higher level of need, must be a being human to understand and see the value in your car. It is found in religion and spiritual orientation. This is the area that is most important in human life.

The first two levels are the physical part. The three latter are more emotional value. As each need is satisfied, the next higher level in the hierarchy dominates conscious emotional functioning. Maslow believed that truly healthy people actualizers self-satisfied because the highest psychological needs, the fully integrated components of his personality. The area may have the greatest motivating force if used correctly. Understand the hierarchy of needs can help us know right to use motivational techniques to ourselves and others.

Motivation is a complex topic that spans virtually all areas of psychology. No theory can explain everything we know about motivational processes. Some reasons, such as hunger, thirst and sexual activity seems to be better understood from a biological standpoint. Other reasons appear to be learned, and the reasons for such help to account for the diversity and complexity of human activities. However, other patterns are influenced by the cognitive process in which we engage. Our interpretation of events around us influences our motivations to come.

View fills us all the above needs will allow us to be closer to what we want in life. This will attract the circumstances and attributes we need. Show success possible and much easier under the law of attraction.
