What external influences that contribute to provoke Muslims to the cause of change in West Africa during the post-classical? What could motivate Muslims to convert to Islam to these people? Trade with them? Change its policy?
No influence in the world had something to do with the spread of Islam and its impact on African politics. The theory that the Crusades caused Muslims to change direction to Africa after losing Europe is not very strong.
