Is John McCain receiving equal press coverage?
With all eyes on Barack Obama’s global tour, John McCain had a message Friday for Katie, Brian, Charlie and other traveling TV anchors – don’t forget about me.
Aides to the Republican presidential hopeful formally asked the networks to provide equal time to his campaign, which will focus on U.S. jobs and the economy next week as Obama tours the Middle East and Europe.
“We don’t pretend to believe that this isn’t interesting and captivating,” McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds said of Obama’s trip. “But we expect the integrity of the organizations will allow us equal time.”

I think so, but I don’t watch the media religiously. I can understand why he wouldn’t get equal coverage, though. His story is not as interesting. “Oh look, another old white guy is running for the presidency. How original.” Remember, most media outlets play for ratings to sell advertising. Even conservatives seem more interested in what Obama says and does than what McCain says and does.
