Early Islamic Politics

Have our foreign policies have contributed to the creation of another Muslim state?

Turkey, in particular, has become a secular state under the leadership of Gamal Atatürk, and has resisted for decades the forces that are trying to set policy Islamic. Now, it seems to be under threat. What the U.S. role in the gradual dismantling of the state at the beginning of the Middle East. Is it useful for them to have a stronger leadership Islamic there, or for the nation to remain secular. This problem will fly over the heads of most, but I would like to see someone with real thoughts the matter say something.

About 48 years ago when I was in the American army, I spent some time in Turkey and spoke to many Turks. A true pleasure, (and girls in Ankara University were among the best in the world!) secular Turkey is usually (a condition difficult to achieve), and I firmly believe that the U.S. should be left alone and to support its entry into the EU listen to this man of old, with lessons that last for generations::: "Damn That is, if it is not broke do not fix it! Hells Bells crazy, Leave It Alone "
