Losing My Boyfriend to his Fantasy World?

My boyfriend lives in a fantasy world. His life consists of Sci Fi on TV, in movies, in comic books, in magazines…and mostly in videogames. He has no other hobbies/interests. He works at a comic book shop and puts in extra time at local and international conventions, etc. He talks about his game characters and weaponry , seems to care about little else. He carries his portable games everywhere and when he reads (rarely), it’s the latest Star Wars novel. He doesn’t think he has a problem. We used to discuss politics and other interesting topics. I was attracted to him (long ago, it seems) because he was a camp counselor and enjoyed nature, animals, and kids. He worked hard and was a good student. Now he keeps failing his college classes and never wants to go out and do anything. He is, frankly, a bore. What’s wrong with him? Why would someone be so obsessed with a fantasy world? I try to be a good partner. What can I do to “wake him up?”

it happens to men like that is everything is sci-fi in there mind everything falls into play no changes no discomfort. basicly there saying i have a problem,u dont really matter to me when there ignoring u at that stage. its like telling a kid what to do with a lollipop in ur hand, while he playing a video game while he is so focused on that game. Small things amuse small minds
