who is behind a north american trade organization? anyone who produces goods in those countries and wants to sell to or buy from them as opposed to, for example, China. regional trade organizations like the EU are good because they make it easier for the individual economies to compete in the global market. they do this thru favored nation agreements and quotas. EU partners team up to act as a single economic entity in trading with non-EU countries.
I’d love to see more goods made in Canada and Mexico in our stores, as it would create more jobs in those countries and help our illegal immigration situation. and having a common currency is an approach that has worked in Europe, albeit with some growing pains.
