florida oil spill reporting

Florida coast suffers the first impact of the spill oil stains and tar balls that washed ashore on a beach in Northwest Florida filled with tourists and bathers on what appeared to be the first impact on the state Gulf of Mexico oil spill, authorities and witnesses Friday.
Imagine the picturesque Bimini Islands. Located just 42 miles east of Miami, on the coast of Florida, the nearest of the Bahamas to the United States and only a jump in the air about twenty minutes to several hours by boat. Bimini is so close to us geographically, but yet so far in resolving management of wastes from the United States of America.
I recently visited the island paradise of Bimini. Inspired by all the crystal clear water and warm sand on the beaches of white sugar, The Bahamas has much to offer, not only to the tourism industry, but around the world in general as a fishing spot blank. Ernest Hemingway spent many years in the fishing and writing, and Bimini, destroyed by fire To date, there was a museum dedicated to the famous author called Compleat Angler.
I wanted a few rounds friends at his home. You know the ones they are a dozen ten inches long, have large fluted lip and the opening is usually a bright pink. The type of shell you see blowing in natives. All the sea is very chic!
My friend Pat and I went for mussel shells. We were told that there are mountains of shells outside some of the fine restaurants that serve meat. Residents gather in the living and the shells back to. They are then yours cleaned and threw the shells are just where they clean them. In other words, between the restaurant and the water we found enormous lots of shells. Above Moreover, another restaurant has collected trash. I do not know if the waste has only swam two steps from the ocean or is it just more Easy garbage out the window. Warning!
I could spend a lot of time describing the beauty of North and South Bimini. They really are gems bit, then on the flip side of the coin, the extreme trash and waste that was left naked on the edge of paths and trails along certain port is not only an eyesore but a health hazard.
Well, one can imagine, Pat and I find the scale of this mountain Garbage and shells the perfect treasure for the home and with our friends. At one point, walked among the locals and asked us what "two White Chicks are crazy about the pile of rubbish "to do. We tried to explain, but I do not think he really understood. In fact, He said that if he left the company more and more important, he had expected when we molds still needed, it would help for a small fee! I mean, entrepreneurial attitude that you love!
He gave us a warning that you sure get in diseases of the trash like that. Well, I think so!
Then I checked the waste management situation in Bimini. There is a landfill South Bimini, which is burned every once in awhile, but most of the time, out of wrecked cars and trucks that dead rust used oil and batteries to return to Florida on occasion and dragged the rest of the waste is only picked up and win more birds and other animals. Not a very healthy for people or the environment.
What is the answer to their fragile island environment is save? Perhaps that these islands should be a high-heat thermal procedures consider the welfare of their waste management needs.
