Christians read the Bible as they say?
I've been reading "The History of Christianity" of Paul L. Jonson. He says many Christians have only a popular understanding (shallow, or school) of their own faith. Harper's Magazine, says: "Three quarters of Americans believe the Bible teaches that" God helps those who will help in other words, three out of four Americans believe that this uber-American idea. a concept on the basis of our current political culture and individualistic, which is in fact uttered by Ben Franklin ....". Christians only repeat what they hear in the pulpit?
Most do not read them. Many of them choose some Scripture to prove a point .... and make them sound Bible-conscious. Most of them have Bible read by a pastor.
