Beware Patented Tax Strategies
Patented tax strategies are in the news again???with a bill to prohibit them. My favorite part is t

Pros and cons of compulsory donation?
I need some pros and cons of a pair of tickets for students Congress and I'm having a little problem with this. A bill to enforce the American people about the poverty orientation will award at least 0.1% of their annual income to charity of your choice. It would be after tax. The poverty guideline in the U.S. for an average American family of four was $ 22,050 in 2009. Any person above this figure would have to give. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) would oversee the implementation of the bill, giving each family or individual the option of having be drawn from their paychecks, social seurity, that is, either in a lump sum the 4 / 15. There would be a list of charities and approved organizations by the IRS to choose from. All non-profit are eligible. The bill would take steps in 2011 and all laws in conflict with it would be declared null and void. Pros and cons?
The only difference is that we "choose" that charity is our money, it's a technique such as a tax, not a donation. I see a lot of negatives of this system and very few positive points. I guess it would be nice to have a society that is giving and generous to the most needy in society. Similarly, if we look at current trends in donation, you will see that even people who could afford to give, they will not donate. This is especially true in the current economic climate, where the majority of charities and nonprofit're seeing a dramatic decrease in funding. However, the basic premise of this bill is rather naive and simplistic. Donations can be and should not necessarily be forced. There are many technical issues to consider. What organizations is considered a charity? What happens to the billionaires / millionaires who are technically unemployed without income but live off their savings? More importantly, what about this idea of a willingness to give? Of course, the implementation of this measure would generate a large amount of monetary funds for charity but also help our society to be more generous and caring for the needy? It is unlikely the case. People who donate will follow this project could of law, but only reluctantly. Those who used to donate voluntarily could be resentful that their generosity is forced everybody. How special shoes generous, or two gifts that people would feel if everyone else was doing the same "great" act? Also, what are those other laws are in conflict with the law mandatory donation? If this includes the current provisions of tax incentives do not know if even CHARITIES would support such a law. What about the charities that depend only on large corporate sponsors (not donate if they are given tax deduction)? I bet that least some of these charities have more to gain corporate sponsors of individual donations from 0.1% to a few people who choose between many other charities. I hope that helps you with your test or Student Congress bill. Good luck!
