How can we educate students about leadership?
Education is always a central point in the debate among political groups, because enormous impact on our children, how they perceive the world and ultimately, the quality of the decisions they make in their lives.
No wonder then, that the content and curriculum for teaching our children is constantly under the spotlight on TV during the day, evening shows and news network, even political.
One issue that is widespread in the curriculum in a small way these days is leadership.
When I talk of "Leadership", I will not make a sudden stop and quickly think of a character trait of leadership as the ability to lead a multinational company. No, the kind of leadership, I think it should be taught in our education system is the leader of beliefs. The idea that some people can inspire others, you can create a buzz around their own ideas may object strongly to their values when circumstances change, and they behave in an ethical manner, while others of corruption.
It is the personal leadership and is a key feature that society needs, regardless of modern technology or peace between nations. It is as if required by the company today as it was 100 years ago.
The leadership found within the curriculum in several ways:
First, is incorporated into religious education, which is compulsory in many schools. Some religious education classes are used to inform children of belief systems that exist today, while others serve to provoke thought in the minds of students and encourage them to share and pay closer attention to their own beliefs. In this second form of religious education class that leadership is being taught.
Second, business education leadership program is loosely integrated. Management and Entrepreneurship are issues you will not find in schools 50 years ago, but now schools who want to know more students who want welfare at work are the opening of its themes to incorporate more theory on leadership in business a change of culture in organizations. But while the theme is entitled "Leadership," I do not think this form of education for students really weapons with all the skills of a true leadership that can leave the classroom. Only students with the same weapons that the facts of science geography: the facts that are simply required to memorize for an exam.
So I think that leadership should have a greater role in education today day. The current approach to students about what leadership is and why it is so important in contemporary society, is loose and sometimes – very ineffective to get their powerful message across. I believe that until this gap is filled with learning, working parents to ensure that your child is armed with confidence and solidarity of its securities to exercise a high level of personal leadership in all areas of their lives as they age.
