I am a senior, which SUNYs can I get into? Also… are NYU/Skidmore possibilities?

-3.5ish GPA
-720 Writing
-720 Critical Reading
-690 Math
-29 ACT
-Advanced NY Regents Diploma
-** Took extensive/selective 3 year independent study course called “Humanities Research”. Developed an outstanding project and had a mentor. (Not offered at a lot of schools)
-AP Law
-AP Psychology
-AP Gov/ Politics
-Varsity tennis for 4 years
-Ranked around 100 in east coast in 16′s and under boys singles (USTA)
-Model UN for 4 years (won an award at a conference during soph year)
-100 or so hours community service
-I’m a VERY strong writer
-Traveled to Dominican Republic during a winter vacation to bring an unpriveledged child back to the United States to become adopted and have a future.
- Play piano, write songs and sing

Skidmore… DEFINITELY a possibility. match school. NYU… your scores are a little low. I’d think you’d need at least a 32 ACT to be competitive. still a good reach to keep on your list though. You seem like a very unique applicant and I think your strong points will be the more subjective parts of your application, like your ECs and your essay, which can be either a blessing or a curse depending on the school. I think it’s definitely a plus for skidmore though.

As for the SUNYs, you clearly have an advantage as an in-state resident. Binghamton might be a stretch, Geneseo/Stony Brook seem like high matches, Albany/Buffalo pretty safe bets, the rest safeties.
