What is the role of a Member?

I feel stupid for asking this question, but recently became interested in politics. I live in Palm Beach County in Florida and am in my elected officials and candidates for office in November. In most understand the role of the Senate and House of Representatives in Washington working at the federal level, while the State Senate and House of Representatives of the workforce in Tallahassee at the state level, but my question is what exactly is what I elected to Congress in terms of its role in the office? Is it to represent me in federal or state level and what it entails to do?

Role is to represent an MP the district, was elected to the House of Representatives in cogress. For example, his deputy must ensure that the voice of the electorate that is heard. The point is that you should choose someone whold you think are the best politicitans pattern for others who make the law. Congress consists of two sections, the House and Senate. The population of each state is divided into districts, then choose a person to represent the rest of government. Hope this helps.
