Have there been riots related to political parties?

Hey guys, I have to write a paper on George Washington’s farewell address and I’m talking about the part where he warns against having political parties in America. He basically says that having political parties invites animosity and ill will between people of opposite parties, which I think has proved true in a lot of ways since democrats and republicans are always name-calling and cracking mean jokes about each other. George Washington also said that having political parties can cause occasional riots or insurrection. So my question is, has this ever happened in America? To my knowledge, there haven’t been any riots related specifically to the democratic or republican party, but I don’t know very much about that so I’m wondering if anyone else knows of a time when this has happened.
