linkage institutions, such as political parties, lobbies or special intrest groups.
It helps the citizens become involved in their government and actually CARE about what their government is doing. Otherwise, our represented republic would essentially be useless, and no influence would be put upon our government whether it be for “change,” or any other swaying tactic.
