What do you think of Gov. Patrick in Massachusetts’s proposed law change?

Do you think it’s right for Gov. Patrick (D) to change back a law that was changed to keep Mitt Romney (R) from appointing a replacement for Senator John Kerry if he had won the election a few years back. Kennedy (D) asked that the law be changed back to appoint a replacement for him.
Do you think a party should be moving a law back and fourth to suit their particular situation?
Even if you are a Democrat, do you think they ought to be doing that? Do you think it’s political “suicide” to be the ones to change back that law so Patrick can appointment someone just to vote in pending bills that the democrats want approved?
It is so “fishy” to think that a law can be moved to suit them depending on the circumstance. Do you?

i just love the answers here from the left, one thing they forget though is if kennedy (and the state dem party) were so concerned about having representation, then as surly as kennedy knew his prognosis a year ago, he should have stepped down then and let the people decide for themselves on a new senator so they wouldn’t be in this situation now. the people here complaining about representation now only prove to the rest of the forum how politically expedient they and the state of mass. are. wouldn’t it be great if us common folk could raise and lower the bar at crucial times in our lives when when it was convenient ????
