Who is the president of Puerto Rico and the US Territories?
Before you make smart remarks, let me explain my reason for asking:
I was just reading an article about the primary which was held in Puerto Rico. In the article, there was the following statement:
“Both political parties include Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories in their nominating processes. However, residents are not allowed to vote in the general election.”
So, if the president of PR and the territories is the same as the president of the 50 states, then why are the residents not allowed to vote in the general election?

They are not allowed to vote in the general because they are not a state. It is confussing how they get to vote in the primary but have no say in the general. Just another example of how our election process need to be reformed.
