Is it stupid to go to college for this?

I want to get my AA in political science . Not because i want to be a politic an ( or even work in law or politics at all ) but because i enjoy politics . There is nothing i like more than politics . I’m watching CNN and msnbc everyday . I’m constantly on yahoo and the Washingtonpost.com to get the latest news . I’m obsessed with it . I even wrote a book about it that hasn’t been published yet . The point is i love politics but i don’t want to work in that Field . Is it stupid to go to college for this then . I’m really not sure what i want to be but i know that if i got an AA in politics it would be the only degree i want to get . I’ve taken months and studied every single course offered at the community colleges out here and this is the only one that interests me . But like i said , its not what i want to work it . I don’t really know what i want to work in , but surely not politics .

Learning is worthwhile whatever your interest is. Plenty of people graduate from college and never use their degrees. As a political junkie myself, I understand your interest. Besides, graduating from college lets the working world know you are capable of learning. Any number of careers will respect your degree and would likely hire you. I’d say go for it!
