History. Compare the 30s & 60's?
Imagine you're a grandparent tell your grandchildren of two long periods time living. Choose two decades to compare and contrast. (30 and 60) Explain how politics, economics and culture people are alike and different. In considering these two decades, explain how this can be true: Passing the time, America has changed, the weather was still nothing to do with the United States anyway. Write grandchildren, your comment about what to expect this change and that should expect to remain the same in the United States as they age.
The 1930 years and 1960 periods time, historians have often connected. In part because of the similarities between President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal and President Lyndon Johnson's Great Society. While government policies of the Democrats had much in common, were not large, but not total social and cultural differences. In order to understand the 1930s, there was on this occasion, the Great Depression was the worst economic crisis in the history of the United States. Given the time of severe distress, the President and Congress approved and enacted a major reform. While the 1920s was a time to do anything Republicanism, everything has changed with the collapse of the economy. In 1933, legislation such as banking and share market reform, reduction of social assistance, social security, assistance and funds for farmers, such as past AAA. The Wagner Act gave workforce. VAT provided energy for many countries of the South that was missing. The intent of the RNA to regulate commerce has been less efficient, but the public were overwhelming support for Roosevelt because he took action. Franklin Delano Roosevelt was elected four terms as president. Culturally and socially things stand out. It formed long lines for food and banks (those trying to get money before they closed and lost all their savings). Some things never change, there are plenty of vagrants and vagabonds – now homeless similar. The American Recreation is limited in these economic times a Spartan, but somehow find a way to listen the radio and watching movies. 1960 was also a time of strong government reform, but left prosperity instead of poverty. Perhaps the apogee of the Bureau of depression were more receptive to the activism of another time. President Lyndon Johnson, in office 1963-1969, was a member of Congress during the New Deal. President Johnson got good legislation passed. Were included in the 1964 Civil Rights Act, which formally ended racial segregation and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 allowing African Americans from voting in the South. Other laws include Medicare and Medicade, Headstart, housing and finance education for the poor. Culturally States America has changed clothes and conservative style has given way to mini-skirts for women, colored shirts and wide ties, and long hair for men. An attitude of if you will it was common in drug abuse and disorder. Changes in life? 1930 and 1960 showed that the conservative United States could have a strong government. But President Johnson was canceled by the mishandling of the war in Vietnam. credibiity Bush can get as low or lower. The Republican Party better be listening. As part of the disastrous Iraq war, corruption and perjury Chief VP Cheney "Scotter" Libby, Attorney General Gonzales and media (Bush both), and Katrina, Republican candidates Bush will have to distance themselves, or face a crushing defeat in 1932. In conclusion, the U.S. economy was generally strong. But in 1987, 1929, are examples of may change. Bush says great prosperity, but the U.S. workforce seems more and more work. This led many Advanced Technology and living standards. However, with demanding hours, labor, wages are so high they can provide a better standard of living, but not easier.
