Destroy young American politics?
Do you think young people in the United States, 13-18 years, have a negative influence politics? I read an article that said young people to make political statements without any knowledge on these issues. Just agree with what others say – the snowball effect. Young people are more aware of the media, affecting the Internet and social networks are spreading dangerous propaganda policy? An example is the myth of 9 / 11 conspiracy. I heard that 95% of people who write comments about Pro 9 / 11 conspiracy sites are teenagers (95% of the seats whose age can be determined) who are not old enough to vote.
I do not think this is a big deal. Children are stupid, okay? They are really stupid. And ignorant. They have been on earth long enough to know much. The prefrontal cortex (part of the brain responsible for reasoning) among adolescents and young people is almost nonexistent. The emotion centers of the brain are more or less developed at this age. Combine this with raging hormones and it is not surprising that adolescents believe that 9 / 11 conspiracy theories. Parents have always been worried that their children are less intelligent than other children – children past generations, children in other countries, either. I wrote a research paper in college in 1940, an article indicating that adolescents the time were the most ill-informed about U.S. history than any previous generation. An article like the one in five or ten years and all world is afraid.
