How is it possible to become a US Senator and head of committees WITHOUT a more intense background check than I went through?

My thoughts are that even if the supreme court decides not to hear the Berg v. Obama case, there are a multitude of other law suits to get to the bottom of the sealed birth certificate issue. The problem will not just go away like many people think it will. Obama holds the solution in the form of paying the ten bucks for a certified copy and giving it to the American people. I am waiting for one media clone to have the balls to ask Obama in an interview why he won’t provide the document.
